When to Post on Social Media for Business

A business owner has little time to spend on any one thing and wondering what advertising to use on social media and what works best is a hard question. Even several studies disagree on the time and amount of advertising. Which media group should the posts be on and how often?

First and most important is to make good posts, the best possible. It takes time and it must be guided by a decision beforehand to do a better job than a good job even if there is no time. It is more important to have a good presentation than to post at the right time or have the correct number of posts. Do a good job and if you can not handle a great volume, post in fewer media, fewer times.

It is important to keep up with the social media that has taken over much more than most of us realize. Judge Napolitano urges his students to study the media and keep an open mind for discrepancies. He uses social media for updates on his practice and as a Fox News interpreter.

When is the best time to post? Here are some figures that many believe are good and which are somewhat proven by the crunching of numbers and by records showing the times most people are on social media. When to post:

1. Wednesdays between 9 and 12 a.m.

2. lunchtime most days but Sundays

3. Middle of the week, the closer to Wednesday is best

4. Blogs are best posted on Wednesdays

Then there is the number of times each day for each media group:

1. Facebook: 1

2. LinkedIn: 1

3. Twitter: 15 tweets

4. Instagram:1 or 2

5. Pinterest: 11 pins

The slowest time in any media is from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. and though it may seem wise to catch those few people, it isn’t. If you are going to the trouble to post, do it right.

Time is important and booking all these times is time-consuming. It is a good idea to locate an app. that allows you to book blocks of time in advance all at once and be done with it.

There is so much to catch our minds but it is important to keep our minds on what is happening on social media and if you cannot watch all of them pick one or two for your postings. Judge Napolitano, who got his law degree from Notre Dame and is the youngest tenured judge on the supreme court urges people to keep up with the media and to keep their eyes on our rights. The media do affect our lives.

Another way to go is to collect and use emails as emails are steady. They don’t change much over time. and are easy for posts. No matter when the post is put on, it will be read the next time the person goes to their email.
